I can’t believe this fun craft almost didn’t happen.

When I bought textured foam craft sheets, I knew that I wanted to make an awesome sensory alphabet with them. (Will be on the blog soon). After cutting out the letters, I was about to dump the scraps when it dawned on me that we could make a colorful spare parts robot craft with them.
The process is simple. I drew an embarrassing looking robot that was large and plain on a roll of white paper.
Loopy (3.5 yrs) and Lumpy (1.5 yrs) both took turns gluing random pieces within the robots body.
Loopy and I had a great time looking for shapes that would give the robot a face. Lots of good shape and directionality topics came up.
I’m really glad that Lumpy could participate in this one. He loves to be included in craft activities!
The boys are both so proud of their robot craft but still haven’t decided on a name. 😉 Any suggestions?
