When I saw these adorable mini Christmas Ornaments at Target, I knew they’d turn into a blog post, one way or another. They’re just so sparkly and UNBREAKABLE! The kiddos couldn’t help but touch!

If you can’t find the ornaments at Target, you can find a similar set here.
We’ve been working on patterns in our tot-school. I decided to continue the theme with a Christmas twist. I set out two clear egg cartons and showed Loopy a simple pattern across the top. Then he went about copying it.
I put two egg cartons side by side so the patterns could be more complicate.
This pattern play can also be simplified so younger kids can sort colors. Eventually, I just let the boys play with them and make their own creations. I was surprised how long it held their interests.
I’ve found that toddlers love ANYTHING that they can put in and take out over and over again.

This is a great idea! The ornaments are such novel items for my boys, they’d be sure to spend a good deal of time working with them! Pinning 🙂
