Like most little boys, my sons love all things airplanes and flight. It helps that their great grandpa shares stories of being a bomber pilot in WWII and my dad helped build fighter jets. Sometimes the world of flight seem way beyond reach, but with this simple sensory bin, kids can get their hands on the skies!

Supplies:
An empty bin or tub
Blue rice (just mix dry rice, food coloring and a splash of vinegar in a sealed bag, then let dry)
Cotton balls
Directions:
Throw the rice and cotton balls together in the airplane sensory bin. Add some airplanes. Invite your child to “fly” through the “skies”.
This is my two year olds favorite sensory bin yet! He’s played with it for hours and hours this week. I love listening to his sounds of delight and imagination! Simple is best!
