Thank you to the Toybrary of Austin for generously giving my family a membership in exchange for showcasing some of their amazing toys!
Folding Medieval Castle Every knight needs a castle to defend. This castle is high quality and full of fun little nooks and crannies. It opens up so that there’s easy access. My boys loved the drawbridge too!
Jousting Knights Set These jousting horses had my boys battling for hours. They’re a great size for little hands to grip.
Knights & Dragons Miniature Figurines I love small themed figures like these knights and dragons! They’re perfect for sensory bins. Something about these little guys send my boys into their own little world.
PLAYMOBIL Knight’s Castle Set This is the gold standard of all things knights and castles! When my son saw this, it immediately took the top spot on his Christmas list. Not only does it have a giant castle, but cannons, and people and weapons and it’s just huge! Some reviewers even said this was the BEST toy their child has ever received!
Knight in Shining Armor Costume As much fun as it is to play with knights and castles, the best is when the kids get to actually be a knight. Dressing up is wonderful for the imagination, language development, problem solving and more! My son saw this costume at the Toybrary in Austin and tried to patiently wait for his turn to rent it. Returning it was a bit traumatic!
And don’t forget to check out our favorite books about knights!
We love playing at the Toybrary, especially since they’ve moved locations to 2001 Justin Ln, Austin, TX 78757. They have more space, more parking and even a backyard play area!
A”Toybrary” is exactly what it sounds like; a library for TOYS! There are tons of open-ended toys that spark the imagination! Liza, the owner of the Toybrary is awesome at getting open-ended, imaginative toys that help kids be kids! If you’re anywhere near Austin, you won’t regret getting a membership with them.
