I’m pretty quiet by nature.
But if you want to get me talking, ask me about blogging.
This little hobby has turned into one of the biggest blessings in my life! Not many people can stay home with their kids, earn an income, let their creative juices flow, and bless other people all at the same time.
To help other bloggers out, I publish my income every month and give you a break down of where it came from and what happened in my little blogging world that month. I’ll show you what’s working for me and what’s not. Hopefully we’ll notice an upward trend!
Without further ado, here’s a very part-time blogger’s income report.

I’ve used RFE in the past and was pleased. They’re a cheaper option and they can TOTAL handle huge spikes in traffic with ease! NO fear of capping.
Pinterest Scheduler – $9.99 Tailwind is a life saver! They have some excellent features that make pinning your own content to multiple boards easy and fast! They’re also the only scheduler approved by Pinterest!
Newsletter Service – $27 Mad Mimi is my email service provider and I just upgraded to the paid service. Even when I was on the free plan, the customer service was astonishingly good! Now that I’m on the paid plan, I’m loving the drip campaign feature. It automatically sends out a series of pre-written introductory emails to new subscribers.

Thoughts:
While not my best month as far as stats, it was a record income month! Woot!
I was surprised to see my ad income went up despite pageviews going down. I have no idea how that works, accept that I’ve heard the longer your pageviews are high, the better quality ad bids you’ll get. Who knows, I let “The Blogger Network” handle all that!
I have long ignored Twitter but in January and February, I started following users and brands like crazy. It paid off when a brand I befriended in my niche reached out to me for TWO sponsored posts. It’s so much more fun to do sponsored posts that truly fit your readers needs. SO much more natural! So even if Twitter doesn’t bring in pageviews, it did bring in a big chunk of change!
I think providing a product is one of the major areas I’m lacking. And I love the idea that it’s work that continues to pay off after the hard part is done! My goal for this coming month is to finally whip out a book. I’ve got the idea, the cover, the chapters all laid out. I just need to write it. Cheer me on, k?
I also want to really start using my subscription to LeadPages. They’re a super slick way to get email subscribers, facebook followers and more! I love that it helps me sort through readers interests and invite them to various facebook groups and email lists based on interests!
