Sensory issues certainly affect our family relationships. We have 3 kids but only one who struggles with her sensory needs. We often have to leave restaurants and activities when she has a meltdown. Our other two children (and sometimes us parents!) have to miss out on the fun and it can be disappointing. I just try to talk to the other two kids about their sister needing extra help. I’m never sure exactly what to say to them so I’d love to hear how other sensory families handle these situations in their family.
