This is a simple craft for Easter that went perfectly with our Art Unit. Even very young children can produce stunning art with this technique.

Supplies:
A white crayon
White Paper
Instructions:
Draw a design with the white crayon on the white paper. Either your child can do this or you as the parent can, depending on skill level. I did an Easter egg and a solid Cross. (I would have taken a picture for you but there’s nothing to see *wink*)
Next, let your child paint all over the paper. My son went crazy with it and the white didn’t stay true white, but I really loved the effect. I stayed slightly within the lines, and though it may be more “pinnable” I really truly thought Loopy’s two pieces were far more lovely.
And his cross was so artistic. He kept mixing colors to make it more grey/brown. Usually he wants to be done with artistic things as soon as possible. But not this time.
And here’s my boring Easter egg. Life inside the lines is LAME!
So there you have it, a simple watercolor Easter craft that even toddlers can do. You might even try surprising your child with what you draw with the white crayon and have them discover it by painting!
