Like so many others, I want my children to know what Christmas is really about: Jesus, the Son of God, took on flesh to so that he could lay that life down for sinful, desperate, me. The story of the first Christmas is crazy cool and can capture a child’s imagination like only a true story can.
We only have a teensy tiny nativity at our house. Every January I look for a good one on clearance but they’re still too expensive. And of course, I can’t decide between a lovely one or something the kids can get their hands on and knock around. This year I decided to go the super cheap route. I found these free whimsical printables and eventually combined them with this gal’s idea to make Bethlehem out of toilet paper rolls. So yes, this was crazy simple and cheap. I even laminated the printables to use next year and as longs as they’ll last.
Check out the fun!
