A Homeschool Preschool Curriculum where Nature is the Classroom

April 13, 2015 By Julie 19 Comments

Preschool is a magical time for kids. The world is opening up to them and they just can’t seem to learn enough. As a homeschooler, I want to instill a love of learning in my kids that stays with them their whole lives.  I’m delighted to have found a curriculum that meets so many of the goals I have for these early years of learning…

This curriculum has been years in the making and was compiled by former teacher, turned home-educating mama, Leah McDermott. This book is FULL of great content. There are 30 unique themes with over 750 individual activities. (That kinda blows my mind!) If you’re a regular reader, you know how much we love unit themes!

And the coolest thing… this curriculum is nature-based. Getting kids outdoors and exploring the world around them is the perfect classroom! Leah incorporates many renowned education philosophies including those of  Maria Montessori, Waldorf, and Reggio Emilia. She has her masters’ degree in education AND curriculum writing!

I couldn’t be more excited about this homeschool preschool curriculum. I know you’ll love it too!

Thanks for alerting me to this. For some reason, my blog didn’t recognize those as external links. Weird. Never happened before. Should be fixed!

I can’t find this curriculum anywhere. The links in this article don’t work nor do links in other blog articles promoting this. I’ve google searched the title and just come up with blog entries about it. I’m so very curious (and excited) about it. Can you help me find it?

Hm, let me look into that for you! I received an email from the author about a week after my son was born and totally forgot to read it. I bet that might have something to do with it! 😉

Sigh. Apparently the author of the curriculum no longer sells it. I’m so sorry! But she does have a new and improved one if you’re interested. I’ll send ya an email about it. Sorry for the trouble!
