Shape Recognition Castle

September 25, 2014 By Julie 2 Comments

We’ve been having a blast with our  knights and castles unit. We’ve been reading tons of books, building cardboard play castles , and even turning into fire breathing dragons. I decided that I need to do a craft that would help Loopy with shape recognition. This castle craft fit the bill nicely.

Shape Recognition Castle SOne craft we did was a shape castle. I got the idea from a couple images on Pinterest (specifically “Storytime Katie” and “The Ramblings and Adventures of a SAHM“) I cut a bunch of shapes out. Then I showed Loopy an example of how he might want to lay it out. I scrambled it all up and let his glue stick do the work.

And by glue stick, I mean glue bottle.
