Dinosaur Themed First Birthday

May 15, 2014 By Julie 2 Comments

My youngest turned ONE last month! How did this even happen? We went with a dinosaur theme to celebrate Lumpy’s big day.

First, we set up a couple play stations (the really old school kind) for the older siblings to play with.
We busted out these fun dinosaur themed flannel boards.
Then I dumped a bunch of dinosaur figurines into a tub of beans and called it a sensory box.
Here’s Lumpy’s memory table. It has his First Year Calendar and a photo book I compiled and asked everyone to sign.
I love searching Pinterest for free party printables. I utilized Itsy Bitsy Fun’s blog for some great dinosaur masks. And our mantel was decorated with Lovely Livings free printables.

Food table had a dinosaur theme.
Lava juice, dinosaur footprint cookies, dinosaur eggs, dinosaur poop, dinosaur bones, a swamp… you get the idea.
Wait? Who’s birthday is it?

Want to know how I made this super fun dinosaur cake? Just check out this post for simple instructions.

Boasting In Weakness: Well, the obvious way to humble myself after a post like this is to give you a sample of what my house typically looks like.

Please note that while it is occasionally cleaner, it’s often much worse.

Read about why I want to boast in my weakness.

Thanks! It really came together quite quickly, as in an hour or two (minus cake decorating).
