Farm Unit: Sheep Craft

June 15, 2014 By Julie Leave a Comment

Farm Unit

The month of May was especially fun at our house because we were learning about Farm Life! Loopy learned so much about different animals, crops, farm equipment, and the process of getting food to the table.
One of our favorite crafts was this adorable little lamb. We got the idea from the great blog Two-Daloo.
Here’s what we did:
Draw a sheep on a piece of contact paper.
Yes, I know. I have bright future in the art industry.
Then tape it to the window, sticky side out.
(I’d suggest doing it one corner at a time, THEN peeling of the backing.)
Here’s what it should look like.
We started out using pom poms.
Unfortunately, they didn’t stay put very well.
Then we switched to cotton balls and were on a roll.
Pretty soon the sheep was drowning in wool!
We both enjoyed this craft and it afforded us a chance to talk about wool. It was a great visual of how the sheep gets a hair cut and the wool is used to make clothing.
