Cooking Kids: White Chocolate Fruity Crunch Bars

June 5, 2014 By Julie 2 Comments

Fruity Crunch Bars

This recipe started off as an attempt at making this lovely recipe by Cookie Rookie. Her’s is beautiful and patriotic. Seriously, check it out. It looks way different than mine.
Ours is well…well it’s yummy. And easy.
Pretty much the story around here.
Here’s what we used:
White chocolate
Dried fruit (Cranberries, Strawberries, Blueberries)
Marshmallows
Crispy Rice Cereal
Here’s what we did:

Melt the chocolate. DON’T burn it! Did it for 30 secs in the microwave, three times.
Mix in all the other ingredients.
Spread it out on wax paper.
I’m impatient, so we stuck it in the freezer.
15 mins later, it was quite solid.
Cut into bars.
Enjoy!
Boasting In Weakness: Earlier this week, after I lost my cool yet again, my three year old son cupped my face in his hands and said “God forgives you, Mommy!”

My son…preaching gospel to me…I have no greater joy.

Why am I sharing this humbling moment from “behind the scenes”? Read why I don’t want you to think I’m perfect.

Hi Julie, I really enjoy reading your blog! 🙂 About the white chocolate fruity crunch bars. We I have to bake them or just freeze them?

    Thanks 🙂

Farah, just freeze it. Pretty simple! Thanks for reading!
