Thoughtful Valentine’s Gift for the Guy in Your Life

January 29, 2014 By Julie 5 Comments

It’s that time of year again. The one where you frantically try and come up with a romantic gift for the man in your life that won’t be a total flop. My husband is such a content man, I really have a hard time coming up with a gift each Valentine’s day. We’re just not the sappy type. We laugh and make fun of each other way more than we make googly eyes at each other. BUT I do love my husband and want him to know it. So I combined some ideas I saw on Pinterest and came up with this:

Guys crave respect. My husband does a million things each day that I respect. I’m really awkward about praising him, so instead, I write it on this picture frame by his side of the bed. Just find some nice paper, pick a cool font, print, and place it in a nice frame. Dry erase markers work just as well on glass. Can it get any easier? And who doesn’t love encouragement from their loved ones?

Andy puts a little dot down in the corner once he’s read it so I know I can erase that one and write a new one. I love that this is like our little unspoken love language. One other tip: keep the marker right behind the frame so you have no excuse when something pops into your mind. Happy Valentine’s Day!

I like that you changed it to “i respect you for…” When I made the one for Jason I changed it to “Thank you for…” and at the bottom I put “p.s. I love you”

Oh I like that one too! I also did one that said “Because HE Lives …” but it got misplaced in all our moving.
