The Wonderful World of Glow Sticks

May 19, 2012 By Julie Leave a Comment

It seems that Loopy gets new toys when his mommy is getting bored of the same old same old. So off to the dollar store we went. When I found these…

I knew we’d struck gold.
As soon as we got home, I grabbed our old Easter eggs, cracked those sticks and stuffed them in.
They barely fit!
I think they’d be way fun as a glow-in-the dark Easter egg hunt for older kids, but Loopy likes to squeeze and shake things. They kept busting out of the eggs. We eventually just played with the stick. We had a crazy “sword fight” and enjoyed putting them on each others’ head. I don’t know how long they’ll keep glowing, but for a buck, I’d say it was a success!

Julie is a frazzled mom of three tornadoes. As a dorky second-generation homeschooler, she writes about learning and play, natural living, special needs parenting and matters of the heart. She serves an astounding God that radically saved her.
