Easter Egg Sensory Game

February 25, 2015 By Julie 4 Comments

This activity was born out of boredom. I thought it wasn’t very creative when it popped in my head , but my son was all about it! This Easter game challenged his auditory sense and critical thinking skills and took all of 30 seconds to set up.

Supplies:

Plastic Easter Eggs

Small objects like beans, pennies, rice, marbles, legos, rubber bands etc.

Instructions:

Fill each egg with a different set of objects. Do this when your child isn’t looking.

Once each object is in a sealed egg, let your kiddo give it a shake and guess what’s inside.

The first round was really hard since Loopy had no idea what objects could be in each egg. I helped him ask probing questions and at least narrow down what the item could be so he’d make an educated guess. Then I let him open them up.

The second round was much easier since he could utilize a process of elimination. I loved seeing him learn and use good thinking skills!

Loopy wanted to be the teacher for round three and he definitely stumped me a couple times, though I still claim he cheated! 😉

Such a fun activity for little ones! I never thought to put the items in Easter eggs — going to give this a go this week.
