Polka Dot Slime

Polka Dot Slime

Happy Saturday Everyone! This morning I wanted to share my favorite kids activity to date. Seriously, we made this polka dot slime twice in two weeks! I was sorely tempted to not give this away to two sweet little girls for their birthday and instead keep it for myself. This amazing recipe is from Asia at “Fun at Home with Kids“. I must insist that you read her post about fixing slime fails BEFORE you get your hands dirty. 😉

(If you’re loving this idea, you should see what other gems I’m finding on Pinterest!)

Visit My Mundane and Miraculous Life’s profile on Pinterest.   IMG_2025   Head over to “Fun at Home with Kids” for the full directions!

IMG_1828    Asia really helps you know if you’re getting the ratios right and which ingredient to add when things go south. My only other suggestions is to coat your hands with the starch when you first pick up the slime. Also, knead that sucker. It took a lot of effort to really mix it. I was convinced it was an epic fail both times we made it. But after pounding it to death, all of a sudden I realized I’d created something wonderful!   IMG_1823IMG_1835   FYI: The first slime we made was the above recipe. The second slime I used half clear glue, half glitter glue. It was a present for little girls, and since I don’t have girls, I went a little crazy with the pink!   Don’t miss out on any of the fun around here. Get an email with an excerpt whenever there’s a new post. No spam, just little ole me!

Boasting In Weakness: Ever wonder why I don’t appear in many pictures?   Exhibit A:    IMG_2030   I’m getting sweaty palms at the idea of this picture being on the internet. But hey, this blog is not about making me look good.

How do you add the polka dots? Or did I miss it?

Just knead them in after you’re happy with the slime consistency.
