Supplies for Superhero Slime:
Superhero Erasers
Liquid Starch
Blue Glitter Glue
A Cup and a Spoon (or something to mix it with.)
Directions:
In a cup, pour roughly 3 tablespoons of liquid starch. Swish it around the sides of the glass to help prevent sticking. Next pour 2/3 of the glitter glue into the cup. Mix it well. Eventually, I find that I have to knead it with my hands to really get it the right consistency. I usually put a dab of starch on my hands before doing that as well.
Trouble shooting: If the slime is too sticky, add more starch. Too runny, add more glue. And be sure to knead it for a minute before deciding to add more of anything. The friction seems to bind the substances together.
Once the slime is extra slimey, add the superhero erasers!
Encourage your kids to enjoy this sensory activity any way they choose. Stretch it, bunch it, pull it apart. It’s a wild tactile experience!
If you’re working on hand strengthening and fine motor skills, encourage your kids to puuulllll the erasers out of the slime one by one.
